Just wanna reiterate since the new Tusky update is exposing the new Mastodon report UI to mobile users on pixie.town:

If you make a report, always select "rule violation", we don't have a fucking law code governing decent behavior here, but Eugen gives me no choice. If you don't select the reason for your report as some kind of "rule violation" it will basically hide it from me and I can't take moderator actions on it (or even know about it) as easily. That's it, the rest here is just commentary on this design decision:

This is obviously some bullshit antifeature designed for instances that are way bigger and more bureaucratic than anything ought to be designed to dismiss marginalized issues. The idea being that if someone did something bad to you and there isn't an explicit rule, it is dismissible. Or that in order for it to be addressed, the target of abuse must make formal appeal for rule change beforehand, a humiliating requirement derived from the hegemony of european cultural institutions. The sheer entitlement in that mindset is aggravating. You assume you know everything bad that could go wrong between anyone in advance, and you presume that victims of novel abuses should need to grovel at your feet for recognition of the mere possibility of wrongdoings having occured to them.
