@Byte rufus has a toggle when writing a Windows install disk to toggle allowing it on non-internal disks ("To-go" in windows parlance). So I am guessing by allowing that possibility, it will install to itself (the installer usb) automatically if no other ntfs disks are detected. I am surprised it works and it didn't corrupt itself or something.
Windows woes
Accidentally made a Windows 10 LTSC persistent live-usb.
It apparently didn't detect the actual disk to install on, and this is Windows To-Go™️ so I guess tomorrow is Clonezilla time to actually get it on the correct disk 🤷♀️

The only two mmo games I ever enjoyed are Pokémmo and OSRS. I paid for runesscape membership for two months back when it was not "old school" yet, and I've never paid another dime. My brain is extremely averse to subscriptions and buying in-game pseudo-currency.
Anyways now that Runescape's owned by a homophobe I think I'm just gonna abandon it forever. Not that I ever have time for it anyways. I am having lots of fun with pokémmo though, though I know even less about Pokémon than runescape, and less about how it is ran.

Is there like a dichotomous tree or decision tree process for identifying which linux distro your (non-root) script is running on? No cheating by looking at root-owned files, assuming a fair amount of user-code isolation is in place to rule-out the obvious options (lsb-release and similair commands), etc.
