I did some big refactoring of #WaterwayMapOrg code, and now it uses the `name` to connect up river basins! Here's the Nile, in one piece!

Blind folks, please do use the survey. I am sure other groups of disabled users will find this in news releases or whatever, but from what happened like last year I think, when quite a few people with other disabilities came out and blasted those of us who say that Linux needs work in accessibility, I feel like we need to push for a good bit more representation on these types of surveys. It's not that I don't want other disabled groups to pitch in, but I feel like we've been underrepresented long enough in this space, and as Windows continues in its entropy, I think it's about time we raise our voices for a great, maintained, accessible Linux environment!

But that’s an aspect of the fedi that remains glaringly anti-Black.

Despite the mountains of evidence that shows Black folks specifically being run out of this space, the brave souls that remain here are expected to be unendingly polite and respectful of people and communities that have never given that same consideration.

For some magical reason, Black folks are expected to bear up under the hate, harassment and abuse and give bigots opportunity after opportunity to attack our spaces unprovoked.

That expectation is not applied to any other community or space in the fedi. A bigot can harass someone for weeks and simply apologize for having a bad day and it’s accepted.

Meanwhile, Black folks are demonized for standing their ground against hate and not allowing it to go unchecked.

You don’t get a gold star for defending harassers. There is no righteousness in allowing hateful people to continue abuse people for no reason.

If your alleged progressiveness includes giving people space to continue harm, then you’re just an accomplice for hate masquerading as something you are not.
