It really bugs me how often you see wojack memes with drooling figures clearly meant to evoke somebody with down syndrome or something, their heads are all misshappen to, and what really gets me is how you just know there's this veil of bullshit by way of the implied brain damage or the cartoonish stuff like a microwave head. Because the faces are so overtly saying "retard" without saying it out loud

Like, if you were autistic and called retarded, that's not a descriptor, that's an insult. There's a super clear definition but you're pretending people with secret intellectual disabilities don't exist, so you can use them as an insult
