@mossfet accrete layers over time like an ooze until you form a hard shell
the eagerness with which i'd rather ask fedi stuff than type same said stuff into a search engine indicates i should set up a dingus to make posting on here my browser's default search engine
so you'll also see all the times i flub a url with a space character or something and my browser mistakes it for a search query
There was a mix of "Jimothy Ho, Grassmaster of the Knights Templurs" from the "Nights Into Templurs" video just saying: "cuppa jeezus" referring to the Holy Grail which got cut. They talk a lot about it in the source of course, but actually including it would have subverted the "fight for the holy right to party" bit and subversion of expectation.
But now we just walk around and occasionally somebody mutters "cuppa jeezus".
It takes an incredible amount of restraint to not just post the jokes in my videos before they come out here in text form. Each one of these videos takes about 3-10 entire months to put together in my spare time (when you get better at this, it starts taking longer since you know you can do better). Also you need to work in parallel or else you will go crazy.
Not even hinting at the general topic is itself hard. I am watching looped source footage searching for things over and over again for months. These absurd mannerisms and expressions become a core part of how I talk to my wives at home for fucking months and they form a secret coded language pilfered from the mouths of extreme weirdos. Meaning not literal, which only we can understand. Much of it has to get dropped for scope creep reasons anyways. So I have to sit with myself wondering, "have a released that mannerism yet?" when I am at the Toot! box.
@reese it fits!
bad scifi I won't name the title of
I've been posting through reading bad scifi as of late if you follow me. Recently I stumbled across some pre-ancient aliens TV show ancient aliens scifi which references Chariots of the Gods from Erich von Däniken sympathetically. It is weirdly anti-evolved intelligence as well. Which has me thinking if "uplift" into sapience as a scifi trope is just intricately connected with colonialism and the ancient aliens trope of "anything old made by non-white people required aliens". I haven't read any scifi featuring the uplift trope until now and I am thinking that the co-occurence of ancient aliens isn't a cultural coincidence.
@lyncia oh! TIL
@tea they could just not have many friends, being shy. There really aren't that many of us and we seek each other out intentionally.
