As the events of this last week have revealed, #TheBadSpace is needed as bigots on the fedi continue to instigate hate campaigns against targeted communities they feel don’t have a right to be here.

TBS has been proven to be an effective tool in taking away hateful people’s ability to harass and abuse our spaces with no consequences. The more we share our collective knowledge about where these sources of harm come from, the further we reduce their ability to infiltrate our spaces.

I’ve been working on this project for a while and I will continue to do because we just need better safety and moderation tools in this space.

TBS and #Fipamo are completely independent project that receive no institutional or corporate support or resources.

I was on my way to leave the nature preserve yesterday and had stopped to look at my phone when suddenly there’s a flash of movement next to me! A red tailed hawk! And they landed in the tiny tree directly to my right. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wild hawk so close before but wow they were beautiful. They stuck around for a while so I was able to get some nice pictures of them, even letting me move around a bit for different angles. I checked with the nature center there just to make sure it wasn’t a lost rehab hawk with how tame it was and since it had a band but nope, the hawks there apparently just don’t care lmao
