Imagine if the United States collapses and within 10 years weird activist types in Russia start using the old American Empire's eagle symbology and the stars and stripes, carrying around old presidential portraits, etc.

I think it is cute when Democrats start whining about Ralph Nader/Jill Stein because they feel like the working class is being too demanding. They feel so entitled to your submission and view deviance as an attack marking your insolence and ungratefulness. Sometimes going so far as treasonous.

They can cry about it. lmao.

The rationale given by the academic integrity office for dismissing the exonerating evidence (that it, too, "could have been produced using AI") is REALLY alarming to me. I'm very troubled about how much AI is destroying our ability to trust each other. And if students do all the right things, document their process, keep artifacts like notes and recordings, only to be told "we can't know those aren't AI", then they have literally NO way to defend themselves once accused. It's a witch hunt.

Wrote up a bit of a rant on Medium about a particularly distressing case I've been assisting with - a student (falsely) accused of submitting AI-generated work who has produced a ton of exonerating evidence and isn't being believed.

As someone with Palestinian heritage who is vocally against the destruction in #Palestine, I get an extraordinary number of pleas for help. All of them heartbreaking, and unfortunately, many of them are scams. There’s a lot of work tracking down which are legit. (I may do a post on how to research gfm pleas)

That said, I would like to introduce you to Nour and Nagham, doctors and sisters on the ground in #Gaza, who founded and lead the globally supported initiative, #PALHumanity. They have been distributing aid (primarily diapers, menstrual/hygiene kits and formula). Because they go to where people are sheltering, the IDF has almost killed them multiple times as they continue to shell schools.
