@Pixdigit @codl Yeee, I'd like to think of Godot as a good starting point as it allows for for rapid prototyping and deployment and has a pretty platform-agnostic shader language, but past that it is definitely recommended to expand once you have a good grasp of the core concepts

@srol ah yes, that game was charming and fun

Then I speedran it by just shooting and reloading until the first guy I went to dropped it lmao

internet history, death

@brion@mastodon.technology May he rest in peace, for his contributions to the world were a jift

@root from over in Drangleic, "I'm da giant rat who makes all the rules"

@NovaSquirrel Plus it doesn't stop you from giving names for anyone who might be looking either

@Zauberin Clearly salmiak makes a good complement to spiro if you can stand the stuff... (the spiro, that is, lolol)

@codl I found that Godot's shader tutorial was a good step-by-step way to learn how they work as a whole, might be worth checking out?

Cave Johnson here! Have you ever heard of the phrase "making someone roll over in his grave". Well, I came across it the other day, and had the boys in the lab hook up some generators. Limitless energy! All we have to do is offend some oldies. If you applied to get your gender transed, enter through door A. Make sure to keep wearing those Aperture Science reinforced knee-high socks after the procedure is done. They'll protect you from the vengeful spirits. We summoned a lot of vengeful spirits.

@trysdyn mood, back when I was Temia my ex gave me a minotaur card from MtG for the same reason

@thufie this reminds me about how back in Seattle I lived near a steep hilltop (as Seattle is wont to have) and trying to use online services to plan a trip on metro transit always tried to get me to cross a hill to or from the "nearest" stop... a hill that meant taking a very long flight of stairs both up and down, taking easily double the time it estimated

And I also happened to do all my grocery shopping on foot and by bus! :'D

@NovaSquirrel I remember when I thought Rock Raiders was such a cool and modern series as a kid

...And yet now it all looks so ancient to me now, with just a few quaint custom pieces
