@s_ol yeah i can relate to the mechanical design being a big issue, have had hardware aspirations the last year but debugging without a scope is wayy too slow and frustrating for my adhd brain and the price tag is very hard to suck up when i could like, get a car or whatnot

a hack i've thought of to use for my own design when i get the resources for doing that properly is to have a few pots for a sort of mixed more software approach which opens up the app integration door.. :P

i really like the look of uxn roms but modern x86 cpus are amazing and VMs are a waste of just the pure amount of *stuff* our machines can do. i want a uxn-but-it-compiles-to-x86-and-theres-like-10-different-projects-like-it-and-they-all-fit-peoples-specific-niches

hey mutuals and fedi frens i hope you have a very nice day today! and that regardless of what the world around you is doing, you'll still have some fun and enjoy being around yourself!

@s_ol have you looked into analog switches for x33? i used a hardware synth recently and i'm now a sucker for analog inputs. i have a full-size 88key keyboard next to me and the dynamics make a huge difference i think

@vultureculture@lesbian.solutions awawawawa!

:boosts_ok_gay: Hey! I'm looking for design feedback on current fediverse clients, both web, mobile and desktop.

What decisions do you like? What do you dislike? What new features would you like to see?

And for Mastodon Web specifically: do you prefer the single-column or multi-column (advanced mode) layout? Why?

:boost_ok: :boost_requested: :boosts_ok_gay:

@f0x single column here because it's not too stimulating and i like the masto ui because i can take my wireless mouse with me and stretch out around my desk and scroll mostly passively. i have thumb buttons for back/fwd which help too

better filters and CWs would be great for me. on here i don't think my CW open state stays set consistently

@deejvalen @bun ooh this sounds interesting. do you know why they protest more?

@lyncia yeah
(this is a reminder to chat with you about this on matrix or something sometime)

spooky i reached out to my powered-off keyboard and pressed a key and i still heard the note even though i didn't look to see where my hand was

OH: oh yeah lets get in your retro attic and we can start retroing your attic
