@s_ol have you looked into analog switches for x33? i used a hardware synth recently and i'm now a sucker for analog inputs. i have a full-size 88key keyboard next to me and the dynamics make a huge difference i think
@ckie
yeah it's totally a thing that I've been wondering-worrying about since day one essentially :D
For this version it's too much for me to handle. In the future maybe there could be a version with Wooting hall-effect switches, but it needs a whole different sensing architecture AND new keycaps (because different stem); or just a full custom mechanical design which is also a big issue.
@s_ol yeah i can relate to the mechanical design being a big issue, have had hardware aspirations the last year but debugging without a scope is wayy too slow and frustrating for my adhd brain and the price tag is very hard to suck up when i could like, get a car or whatnot
a hack i've thought of to use for my own design when i get the resources for doing that properly is to have a few pots for a sort of mixed more software approach which opens up the app integration door.. :P
i really like the look of uxn roms but modern x86 cpus are amazing and VMs are a waste of just the pure amount of *stuff* our machines can do. i want a uxn-but-it-compiles-to-x86-and-theres-like-10-different-projects-like-it-and-they-all-fit-peoples-specific-niches
@ckie
There are some products out there that function as "MIDI Expression Controllers" that basically adds that to any keyboard; with the i2c interface on the 0x33.board it would also be trivial to tie something like the 16n in as velocity and pitch bend control.

@s_ol ooh, this is getting my brain running! many thanks!
i forgot to hit toot
@s_ol it'd be awesome if i could hit some keybind for "set ceiling led strip" and then tweak the knobs for the channels instead of my current mouse gui thing
