Today has been a dark and frightening day in Syria. Fierce fighting and heavy bombing in and around Damascus have shattered the fragile sense of peace we were beginning to rebuild. Just when life was starting to feel more stable, sudden violence has left us feeling vulnerable once again.
Many of you will remember how, earlier this year, your incredible generosity helped us stockpile dry food for our animals during another period of crisis. Thanks to you, we were able to keep them fed when supply lines faltered. Those supplies are now nearly gone—and until yesterday, we believed the worst was behind us.

But once again, the threat is real. Fighting may spread. Borders could close. Prices could spike overnight. And in moments like this, preparation is everything.
We need your help—urgently—to build up our food reserves again. Donations have been low recently, and we are deeply worried. The cats, goats, and other animals in our care are blissfully unaware of what is happening. But we are not, and we cannot afford to be complacent.
