@ka_so The Bean Vortex is the pocket dimension from which the contents of all the cans of baked beans come from (yes, baked beans are vegan, but they're not natural; they're supernatural). Heinz and other such companies keep the Bean Vortex guarded and secret prom the population, but you can access the Bean Vortex by accessing the series of tunnels that are underneath each and every single publicly owned building (think public schools, public hospitals, public utilities). I haven't managed to map the whole network of tunnels yet, and I fear it might be impossible to do so on my own given how expansive it is. Did you know most people already know of the tunnels but actively choose not to visit them or tell anyone that they have learned about them? It is true! Not everyone seems to know about the Bean Vortex though, it seems. I suppose it makes sense given that I am not sure if its a regional thing or if there are more vortexes under other cities. One thing that I can guarantee is being hidden by Big Bean is that Chile's main export isn't copper, or even our produce, but the beans from the Vortex. The Bean Vortex is located in Santiago, and I think it's located deep under Cerro Santa Lucía; you can get to the Vortex through tunnels that off-shoot off the line 1 metro tunnel near Santa Lucía station, but you got to be careful because some of the entrances are guarded by Heinz agents, and have to watch out for the trains themselves, obviously. Heinz agents are basically cops, so don't feel too bad about hurting them. The Vortex itself is found in what appears to be a very ornate 19th century ballroom. If it wasn't for the Vortex itself leaking beans and slurping them back up it would look almost normal, if you ignore the strong smell of baked beans. You really have to be careful near the Vortex, I've seen what happens to people that slip on the juice and get beanified and sucked into the Vortex. It's not pretty. The beans do taste like baked beans, so it's a good place to go to if you are hungry in the area. 🫘 🌀

terminal of the future
Every time there is a new "terminal of the future" concept it is just "what if eshell was a fully-realized emacs feature" because nobody understands what eshell could be. And everything else is just already an emacs feature or package. It is amazing how good Emacs could be with sensible defaults not bound by tradition.

Phase 3 Trial Shows Peanut Patch Treatment Helps Toddlers Build Tolerance to Deadly Allergy
Toddlers safely built a tolerance to small amounts of peanut proteins thanks to a simple skin patch, which helped prevent the progression of a potentially deadly allergy. More than 70% of these toddlers could tolerate 3 or 4 peanut kernels after a 3-year…
