Machines cannot be held accountable for missing the joke badly and therefore cannot be held responsible for comedy decisions.

Where do we check the "I agree with Al Gore" tickbox? Replace that climate change info banner with a picture of Al Gore doing a thumbs-up or something.

I think YouTube hides my channel in search results because our first video got slapped with the "Climate Change" fact-check gadget automatically. To be fair, it contains footage of a climate change denialist. However, I wish there was room for parody.

You'd think the phrase "hipster anarchist" to be redundant until you meet the guy who fires his own homemade riot bricks.

A lot of the time people just use revolutionary-appropriated academic verbage to circle back around to re-encoding restrictive ideas like professionalism, civility, and secular norm enforcement. It just gets called something longer and has subtitle that says ": A marxist feminist critique" or whatever.

I wouldn't know about the fediverse chick if without the memes tbh. This server never sees anything like spam campaigns because we don't federate with the servers spammers register on. Is it all from mastodon.social and stuff?

There honestly ought to be a technical solution on fedi for users who are torn between seeking out visibility and seeking safety. Maybe some kind of codified "ambassador account" vs "personal account" relationship where the personal account is on a well moderated server and the ambassador account isn't, but is configured to automatically mirror and promote certain tagged/filtered 'art' or 'professional' posts onto it from the personal account. If on GoToSocial, maybe even with stricter reply permissions on the ambassador account as well.

I promote my videos solely from this highly-moderated mastodon server with the expectation that at least this way I won't cultivate a shitty starter fanbase. Which makes sense for me as the Patreon doesn't bring in enough money yet to matter. Even if it started to though, I would be very hesitant to offer any kind of less-moderated 'fan space' on another site or service. Judging from observations, that usually goes very badly.

remember when I asked for a replacement for #disqus and then ranted about how none of the available solutions would also integrate with #mastodon?

Well shit. I did it again and scratched my own itch and barfed out another open source project.

Introducing: Meh..

* single install serves as many sites as you want
* can be used in static websites (it's lightweight web components in the frontend)
* imports Disqus
* fetches Mastodon replies as comments
* supports different languages (so far en, fr, es, de)
* probably has bugs
