does anyone have recommendations for open source wysiwyg style latex editors? a friend is stuck using overleaf for their academic work, and i swear i've seen people here sharing open document formatting programs with nice ui's!

banging on the same nailhead again. just gonna say that while i understand a lot of people don't do this out of outright malice, i find it very side-eye worthy how so many people on here are very comfortable adopting aesthetics and aligning themselves with a regime that called itself socialist and yet has killed, exploited and assimilated kazakh people.

@rezzish is your custom splash the same resolution as the builtin one? I've had experience flashing modded boot logos into PC BIOS systems before, and those will draw off-center because the logo rendering code sometimes makes size assumptions, even if the aspect ratio is the same.

I love when I look up a project and it's like "okay to build this, install poetry" and I click poetry and it goes "poetry should be installed with pipx" and I click pipx and it says "on windows, you should install pipx with scoop" so I click scoop and then my brain melts out my ears because this is too many layers deep
