"I do have to wonder how many #zionists realize that they’re permanently giving the term #antisemitism boy who cried wolf #connotations. The #word is tainted to the point that I’m not sure it’s viable in discussions of actual antisemitism anymore. It’s really grim to be in a position as a #Jew where every time I see someone describe something as antisemitic I have to spend 5 minutes digging through their profile before I can know if they’re being genuine"

@jlperuyero Do the UPC barcodes use the same GS1 country prefixes?

At what point is the country code determined? This may not be an exhaustive way of checking country of origin. Per the GS1 standards page for country codes "Since GS1 user companies can manufacture products anywhere in the world, GS1 Prefixes do not identify the country of origin for a given product."
So I wonder, if this might come with opportunities for false negatives or false positives through legal-bureaucratic supply chain nonsense. I couldn't find solid clarification anywhere online about this from a brief look.

New versions of all major fediverse software are releasing this week with full achievements support.

Is hyphenating compound words that contain "cyber" , cyber? Or is leaving the hyphen out more cyber?

Which is more cyber :cyber: for example:

Cyberdisc or
Cyber-disc

:ai: "AI" , Microsoft Dotnet, dogfooding humilation

Just when you start to think Microsoft's tech debt problem couldn't possibly get any worse: github.com/dotnet/runtime/pull

Maybe corporate is looking for agentic AI :ai: to save them from scabs, kind of like in other industries. This is just a test, but the public AI dog-fooding burnout just shows how far the hype is from reality. The question remains: how long is tech capital willing to strike against tech workers, with hopes of an 'AI bailout'? Will the money run out first, or will hype hubris strike first?

Anyways, Stephen Toub is hilarious. All his GitHub activity is *like this* , just herding copilot around like a matador in a china shop. Enjoy this hilarious quip from the GitHub thread.
