@meluzzy As far as I know victor mono's variant with the cursive ligatures is the one that just broke for me. When I looked into it, it looked like I'd have to build the font myself to reenable it (it is opt-in now?) so that's why I am looking for another one. If you know where to find the right variant as a prebuilt font file asset I'd be very interested!
Does anybody know a good monospace cursive font with ligatures? The one I was using before has removed that feature...
It can be just a specific variant, like the semi-bold italic or something, as long as I don't have to build the font in some custom way to enable it.
And yes, you nerds, old people who can't remember a password or pin code deserve security as well.
I wish Signal was actually usable enough to get my relatives to use it. All that happens is they sign up and try it and then get a new phone (needless carrier e-waste upgrade plan), forget their pin code (normal people can't be expected to remember passwords 100% of the time), and get banished from using it forever because there is no account reset or invalidation process.

During my dream last night I came up with a horrible antifeature for Windows, now that they're so all-in on AI:
when you try to uninstall a program, generate a short story for the user which personalizes the target application as being separated from all its friends, and being very sad about it
@foone Windows update applying screen, but you can turn on an "advanced ai mode (FOR DEVELOPERS)" and then instead of saying nothings like "We're getting everything ready for you" an LLM attempts to spew out an English summary of the system log in real time.

Why is no one talking about India and the shift towards an apartheit regime towards Muslims?
We're seeing this shift in almost every country with a Muslim minority. The utilization of public order or anti terrorism law in order to target Muslim voices, even when there are freedom or religious expression laws in place.
