- Good reputation on reliability, deliverability(!), and privacy

can anyone recommend me an endo who's
- near frankfurt (or like, as close as possible and closer than berlin, lol)
- does hrt on transfems, including non-binary ones like me (i'm very fem-presenting tho which kinda helps and i might be able to pretend i'm binary)
- respects their patients' wishes in terms of dosage and administration method
i already have an indication letter since >=6 months and i'm already on prescribed hrt since >=5 months, but my endo is in berlin, hard to contact and very far away, and he is technically not an endo but an Allgemeinarzt and i'm never rlly sure if he actually knows what he is doing, so i would like to switch to someone competent (yet not less trans-friendly) who's closer to where i live

Swe pol, homelessness
So there's a new law allowing people to be banned from specific swedish libraries. It seems rather targeted at homeless people.
There's been a rather unofficial culture of libraries being safe havens.
This seems like an attack on that.
They talk about keeping in mind what the purpose of a library is, and they seem to describe that purpose as just reading books.

I did some research for a talk I’ll hold later this month so I took a look at a very long list of open source cookie consent libraries.
On this huge list, there where 3 entries that had a demo available and where compliant to EU law while not using any dark patterns.
I didn’t count the ones that where not compliant but it was a multitude.
One would think that most people working on open source stuff care about privacy and ethical design but that doesn’t seem to be the case

@davidak@chaos.social I'm... conflicted. It looks good, but I'm concerned that this might create the wrong impression to new users - because the *rest* of NixOS just isn't really user-friendly yet, and so users will likely still be lost directly after installing it. I hope this doesn't result in a flood of angry issues?

Waiting for my train and just appreciating the infrastructure.
Only two car lanes. Two bike lanes, partially raised. Tram and bus stations next to the train station. Bike parking. Safety island for crossing. Departing trams have straighter path than arriving ones because they speed up. Covered bus stops with the realtime schedule.
@retr0id Yeah, this absolutely doesn't surprise me. It's completely absurd. I've fed it pictures of obscure products from 30 years ago, and it'd happily trot up to me with 10 different photos by 10 different people taken from different angles of (a variant of) the same product. Whereas Google just goes "hmm, yes, those are colors, these pictures have similar colors?"

It's frankly disturbing how accurate Yandex is (also with faces)... what the hell kind of tech are they using there? And it better not be used in a fucking drone
@clacke @drwho@hackers.town I mean, that would explain the slow loading times for GMail - really HTTP/2 is never a reason to *not* bundle, because pipelining doesn't change that traversing a dependency graph depth-wise is a necessarily serial operation...

Looking for a job (EU only) 
So I'm looking for a job again...
As a software engineer with 15 years of experience, some of it as a sole architect, some of it leading a team, working mostly on medium-scale systems with complex backends (having worked in e-commerce, utilities, banking/payments, etc). Plus a formal education in theoretical mathematics.
Primary experience is with C#/.NET and also TS/Node.js (can also do React).
But also want to try Rust or FP languages (such as elixir), and open to any stack basically (I can learn fast!) and any industry (besides cryptocurrencies or law enforcement or shit like that of course).
Been both commended and criticized for meticulous code review, setting a high bar of code quality, focusing on other developers experience, and not letting at least some of the bugs and vulnerabilities creep by.

I only speak English (but trying to learn German and Spanish).
