apparently octopuses see color using their weird pupils to refract light in such a way that it splits up all the wavelengths of light so their single cone can detect it, which means when they see colors, they see rainbows

@lapis @futurebird from what I can find, it's actually the unfiltered/undiluted honey that crystalizes the most, because it happens when there's *low* water content (through evaporation, and there not being as much to begin with)

I've been wanting to do this for over a year now but I did it: I replaced the original greasy water damaged MDF pedestal of my MCH2022 crystal lamp with something more permanent, reusing a leftover piece from my new kitchen. It now actually looks like something that belongs inside the house, instead of outside. And as a nice bonus, my vacuum can now spot it early instead of bumping into it :)

GoToSocial is problematic because when I opened a bug report, all the developers got together and yelled into a glass jar, then screwed the lid on the jar real quick so the yells were trapped inside, then they posted the jar full of yells to me
