trans survey
@yuki
my favorite way to get these thoughts out is to remind myself that wanting to be a certain or uncertain gender is a sign of being that.
trans survey
Trans folk (including enbys and genderfluid):
After deciding/accepting/realizing that you were trans, were you invaded by thoughts telling you that it was just your imagination, that you weren't actually trans but it was all just self delusion? (in other words, imposter syndrome but for trans stuff)
Replies welcome.
pain mention, doctors mention, money, food
Sitting in docs office waiting to be called in. A bit ago I was in a condition where an ambulance would have been valid, but I need to see this doc so I laid down in a staircase for a bit.
Now it would be best to take a Uber to get home but it costs basically the same as ordering food amd I can at best afford one of them even though I need both...
I. Hate. Capitalism.
I'm in a lot of pain and just want to simultaneously cry and smash capitalism into tiny small pieces.
@Hylyx Questions about solar power, yeah? Do you feel up to explaining it in a few sentences for a noob who knows close to nothing about it but would like to understand it a little? That would be nice. :3
pain mention, possibly surgery mention
So I've recently had a huge increase in problems with my spine. I went and had an MRI of my neck (only my neck).
Turns out multiple discs are damaged, so is the bone and also nerves are getting pinched, if I get it right, by the damaged discs. Several places, and that's only my neck I talk about here.
The rest of the spine is mostly as bad as that.
It can be that I'll have to undergo surgery and I'm going to be honest, this is super scary. I just want this to be over.
Gen-Xer born in #Mexico; since kid I was a #computer #nerd and liked #anime and #scifi, so it was logical I'd eventually discover the #cyberpunk genre (#ghostintheshell, #akira, #neuromancer, #bubblegumcrisis, #parasitedolls, #lain...)
Aside from that I've done #opensource and #freesoftware; have gnu/#Linux on my PC and recently I discovered #decentralization.
Currently #amwriting a scifi novel about #AI and #androids and it's my life's dream to get it published!
(Also I've been recently exploring my sexuality and it turns out I'm trans ; specifically, nonbinary
and probably genderfluid
; it's... complicated.
Perhaps another way to explain this is that I have a "femsona" and I feel more comfortable wearing her than my male-self when talking to my close friends.
BTW, I don't know if I'll get to be comfortable with using "she/her", so it's "they/them" for now.)
introduction
I'm wirehead, a member of a plural system of about 17 people. We are a queer anarchist system and interested in disability rights and mental health activism. My pronouns are they/them.
Apart from that, I'm pretty much a nerd. My/our body is severely disabled and in chronic pain. We're part of the #EhlersDanlosSyndrome crew. Also all of us are neurodivergent.
It's nice to meet you.
