@thufie nothing happens, but after a few minutes you start to feel a little weird.

do you search for help or decide not to think about it too much and try to organize food? you're really hungry from all the worm-riding and stair-trashing.

@thufie you decide for this despite the risk of falling or trashing the brittle metal stairs.

luckily enough the door is similarly brittle and almost instantly opens. it falls next to you down to the tunnels, right next to the stairs. you sense danger and get off the stairs fast, just in time.

you don't untie clamps and rope fast enough, so you lose them. the remains on your side tear down the guardrail and only a few seconds after that, the stairs collapse with a lot of noise. three seconds later and you'd have a big problem now.

you're out in the city of Hanu't, the air is full of smog and you hear distant sirens. the place you are at is empty. it's part of Old Hanu't, where the people live that aren't owners of corporations or otherwise rich. you wonder where everyone is.

you are very thirsty and starting to get a headache. despite everything, do you trust the water fountain?

@thufie a bunch of rats escape. how did they get in there? you try to follow them with your eyes, as suddenly the light of the exit goes dark. one of the rats seems to have partially eaten the cables.

you try whether it opens now, and it actually does. you start to ascend on brittle old metal stairs as you hear huge worms rushing past, but the noise gets more and more distant.

you reach the exit, it's closed off with a door made of some metal rods. it's closed, too, and rats won't help you now. you don't want to go back down, especially because you can see an old drinking fountain under the dim green light the afternoon sky gives you.

how do you open the door?

@thufie you are in luck and after only half an hour of searching you find an exit, but the metal door is shut and seems locked. you are exhausted and sit down for a moment of rest.

now how could you get the door open? you need to go up there, so much is known.

the dim light is flickering and could go out anytime, so it's best to find a solution soon, you decide, and get up again.

you look around and find there are a wide variety of objects around you, these include a lost backpack, next to it a wallet and a phone. someone seems to have needed to get away very fast. something in the backpack is moving.

@thufie the worm shrieks as you take your clamps off and rushes away, you manage to get off in time, but you fall in a very unelegant manner. gladly nobody has seen that.

the shiny thing appears to be some kind of old weapon, now in the year of 2057 it is entirely outdated, but you take the shiny blade with you anyway. it is the only weapon you have now, all other weapons got lost on the way here.
something is engraved, but in the dim light you are unable to read it.

you're getting thirsty.

@thufie You succeed in distracting the worm, but it's now disoriented and you notice you lost your water and half of your backpacks contents as it was half opened.

your disoriented worm has now halted for safety reasons, the other giant metal worm rushes past and for a few seconds you see a lot of flickering lights going past in a speedy manner.

something shiny is on the floor. do you get off the worm to investigate?

@thufie you hear it whimpering as you hook clamps on it, as giant worms have very sensitive pain receptors, but it seems to overwhelmed to shake you off. the light rapidly approaches as your giant metal worm accelerates.
