@RustyRetro @ticky My first digital camera used a cable with usb 1 type a on both ends. The htc vive link box uses a cable with two type a ends too.

@ticky I had one of those adapters in my am3 board that had usb3 ports on the back, but no front panel header, so I could hook up the ports on my case.

Anyone have a recipe for making licorice candy out of just licorice root, flour, and molasses?

(boosts welcome!)

I improved the soldering on my porta pro mod a bit last night, and I made the cables removable. I don't have the two pin iem jacks that I ordered for it yet, so I made my own with some breadboard cable ends and a pair of pliers. Now I can unplug the bluetooth adapters if I want to use it with a cable. It's a much sturdier connection than soldering the wires directly to the pins.
Apparently these bluetooth modules will only work with devices that support BT5.0, so it won't connect to my desk phone at work. I'd like something that supports pairing to multiple devices simultaneously, but this works well for listening to music from my phone.

@Elizafox @sungo I've heard that they can be comfortable, since it keeps your hands and wrists at a more natural angle. I can't stand using split keyboards though.
I also don't understand having the trackball in the middle. I have that same trackball on my desk at work, but I keep it over to the right.

@MadestMadness OpenMW is great. I tried setting up a multiplayer server a while ago, but I had issues getting it working.

I just remembered that I have a copy of Morrowind, and that OpenMW exists. This is exactly what I need right now. 😊 A fresh new game packed to the brim with both official and community made content. 😊

I was considering either buying the original Diablo or biting the bullet and just playing Skyrim, but this is even better. 😊 I want to get lost in an open world for a while. 😊

I just made my Porta Pros wireless. I soldered on a TRN BT20, and glued the receivers on the frame. My soldering was pretty terrible, I may end up redoing it. They work well though, the mic is clear, and the range is good. I've heard that the official wireless porta pros have terrible range that doesn't even always reach to your pocket. These worked from a few rooms away. They also don't have the wire going between the cups like the official wireless model has.

that therapist 100% needs to lose her career, no kid should ever have their parents told they are making up mental illness for attention, oh my fucking christ

mh, horrible parenting

I was looking on reddit (a bad idea, I know) and someone was saying they think their teen child is faking her eating disorder because that's what the therapist told the parents... and as someone who went through hell because my parents never believed I was struggling with mental illness this is utterly horrifying

its been making things run through my head wondering if someone I talked to as a kid ever told my parents I was making it up too, theres no way I can ever know

it really really really shouldn't be a controversial opinion that genitals should never be nonconsensually mutilated

circumcision, foreskin restoration

so fucked up that part of my dick is missing making sex and masturbation way less comfortable and pleasurable

foreskin restoration has been good for me but it's horrible I have to do it and wait many years to get something similar to what was cut off

just making progress a fraction of the way where I need to be has been amazing I can only imagine having a full amount of skin
