queerphobia, violent attack
Love it when I run into a years-old problem when trying to build something, and it was fixed upstream two weeks ago: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/231673 🥳
@BlackAzizAnansi Not to mention years and years of posts about things like Arab Spring have been mass deleted in recent days. We’re losing *history* because Elon doesn’t want to pay for storage.
Dating someone who doesn't think trans women belong in the same spaces as cis women or anything else along those lines?
You got some major changes to make if you want to be someone who's accepting of trans people
And before you ask, no, disability insurance is not a solution, the exact kind of disease that makes you need a transplantation also makes you an auto-reject case at basically every insurer, because that's all privatized of course
I'm looking for a name for something that's designed to be calm and non-stressful, non-distracting to use. Usually people use the term 'zen' for that, but that feels rather icky from an appropriation perspective.
Does anyone have any suggestions for similar terms, that are also similarly memorable/catchy?
White racism in Japan
Part of the reason I started this instance was so that I and anyone who chooses to join me could talk freely about things that not supposed to be talked about in Japan, on Twitter or otherwise.
Racism is a problem in Japan. It's a problem in the US. It's a problem in Europe. It's a problem everywhere.
A very unique set of circumstances occurs where people *from other countries* come to Japan and maintain racist beliefs. The same kinds of people who insist that racism doesn't exist (or if it does, that people like *me* are the ones who perpetuate it) take their beliefs from home, go abroad, sometimes to countries that do not have significant discussions or understandings concerning racism, and probably feel even freer to spout their hate than they did back home.
Here, no one will challenge them. Especially in a country like Japan, where "politics" aren't often discussed in public.
In the process of moving to @joepie91. This account will stay active for the foreseeable future! But please also follow the other one.
Technical debt collector and general hype-hater. Early 30s, non-binary, ND, poly, relationship anarchist, generally queer.

Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
