If people are against FediBlock as a concept or a tool, it's probably bc hit dogs holler.
"I don't like being held accountable for my continuos harmful behavior and its bad when you call me out on things"
It's giving DARVO and utilizing your marginalized markers as a shield against your behavior suggests that marginalization is an excuse for lateral abuse.
It isn't & I said this before. It's a common tactic on here specifically, something I've not seen on other SM spots to this extent
The tragedy of the commons is a pernicious myth.
The demise of the commons of Britain and Europe wasn't the result of misuse by commoners, but enclosing by the landowners. The original hypothetical was made up for storytelling purposes, and the term was popularized by an ecologist with anti-immigrant and racist views.
Here is my recommended reading for heading into 2023:

Somewhere out there in the grand cosmos of infinite possibility that we'll never see is a parallel universe where the grand innovation of decadent materialism was interchangeable face-plates for all of your appliances, so you'd buy the basics and they'd be good enough to last your entire life and then some, but you'd "upgrade" your kitchen every year by buying new façades for everything. This variant of planned obsolescence continues to go strong into the current day, even with mobile devices.
I am looking for recommendations for #mmo #gaming mice. I want something with the 12 buttons on the side. But my hands are teeny tiny. I've been using the Corsair Scimitar, but it's definitely uncomfortablely large, even w adjusting the side panel. I've been using it for years, however. But the scroll wheel is starting to skip, and I havent been able to fix it. It's not a huge deal right now. But I want to start collecting a list of small-hand friendly mice for the day I eventually am forced to replace it. #mmorpg #GamingMouse
I'm excited to share this article (open access!) comparing privacy attitudes in the US and Netherlands using factorial vignettes. This was one of my favorite projects (and teams) to work on over the last decade, and this paper represents the last study in the 3+ year project. https://ijoc.org/index.php/ijoc/article/view/19391
Bank of America set on fire in Portland
"Last night I broke into a Bank of America in Portland, Oregon and started a large fire. According to news reports, the fire grew quickly and took firefighters more than an hour to extinguish.
I attack for revenge against capital for the hell it creates, to break the illusion of police control that usually protects it, and just because I can.
Bank of America funds the Atlanta Police Foundation and a thousand other projects of control. Earlier that day, the six friends in Atlanta charged with “domestic terrorism” were released from jail. May this fire bring them some warmth in winter.
Long live anarchy!"

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
