I find it outrageous and incredibly offensive how often subtitles are censored.
I've experienced it on broadcast TV. On Amazon. On YouTube. And elsewhere.
Deaf people do not need swear words hidden. Those of us with hearing loss don't suddenly decide, "Ah, yes, because I can't hear fully, I don't want to experience swearing anymore."

Redux is very composable in theory but extremely poorly composable in practice; it is very difficult to combine the subtrees of different third-party utilities in a way where the utilities are aware of their location in the tree, without resorting to a variety of different hacks (that are different for each utility)
And they do *need* to know their location in the tree, if you want those utilities to be mountable at arbitrary positions and able to manage their own state, and then you still need to figure out how to isolate the utility-specific action types too

Hobbyist subtitlers get regularly threatened with ruinous copyright lawsuits for daring to make TV shows more accessible to different audiences without the publisher's permission.
And now tech corporations use those very same hobbyist subtitles to train their audio transcription LLMs, and there are zero legal consequences for those corporations.

Ik zou zo graag zien dat meer van de politiek actieve en activistische Nederlandse gebruikers ook CWs en alt text gaan gebruiken voor hun politieke posts.
Nog even los van dat ook dat gewoon een onderdeel is van inclusiviteit, zie ik nu heel veel dingen langskomen waar ik eigenlijk niets mee kan; ik boost geen dingen zonder alt text(-verzoek), en ik ben heel selectief met welke politiek-zonder-CW ik boost om de mensen die mij volgen niet te overladen.
Dat is zonde, want er zit een hoop goeds en belangrijks tussen, maar ik heb ook niet de energie om alles *zelf* van alt text en CWs te gaan voorzien... dus dan gebeurt er uiteindelijk niets mee. Dat kan beter, toch?

Onze fractie is vanaf 2024 op zoek naar een #communicatiemedewerker en commissieleden. Deze functies kunnen gecombineerd worden, maar ook door verschillende personen worden vervuld.
Fractiemedewerker communicatie (betaald)
Als #fractiemedewerker #communicatie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de communicatie van de fractie: via social media, nieuwsbrief en pers zorg je ervoor dat het werk dat we in de raad doen, ook zichtbaar is voor onze achterban en in de stad. En je bent natuurlijk ook inhoudelijk betrokken bij het werk dat we doen.
Commissielid (met vergoeding)
Als #commissielid voer je namens BIJ1 het woord in commissievergaderingen op thema’s in jouw portefeuille. Je werkt samen met andere partijen voor mondelinge en schriftelijke vragen over die thema’s. Ook denk je mee over de politieke lijn, strategie en prioritering en schrijf je mee aan moties en bijdragen voor de raadsvergaderingen.
