When someone or a corporation is called out for something shitty, and then there's people actively defending them by going "I'm sure they have a good reason for it" while completely trivializing the criticism and making no attempt to discover or explain what that reason might be

You can find it on https://mastodon.art/about , minimise the about section and expand the moderated servers section. I'm sure there are a few there that you thought were great instances. Every time I see a new attempt at selling something as "open-source" while subtly keeping a crucial component proprietary, I feel like "yeah, this is why commercial use should never have been considered a desirable or supported thing for FOSS"
