@rune There *sort of* is, in Dutch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_the_handicap_of_a_head_start
yo holy shit Dead Cells added a ton of accessibility and assist features
- UI tweaks / graphics tweaks
- color filters
- you can give yourself extra lives
- you can adjust trap damage and turn on an auto-attack to reduce how many inputs are necessary to play
- a TON of control tweaks
AND they said they won't disable achievements if you turn any of the assist features on: "We are not going to make it possible for people to play the game and then take achievements away from them."
fuck YES. this RULES.
@Natanox@chaos.social @aurora@social.bau-ha.us I mean, the problem isn't really with the vehicles themselves, so much as it is with them being privately-operated for-profit businesses that invest precisely 0 into infrastructure for them, expecting society to eat the cost and in some cases even expecting cities to build rental-vehicle-only(!) parking spaces with public money.
If these things were designed and deployed in a way where it didn't interfere with sidewalk accessibility or other use of public space, *and* it didn't end up with for-profit corporations outsourcing their operational costs to public money, it would be fine!
a*phobia, hypocrisy towards minors
@maia Usually followed by 30 minutes of empty threats to arrest me but never actually doing so, because I have *technically* offered to show them my ID, I just didn't have it on me so they'd have to come along to my house, and that technically satisfies my obligation under the law
... with eventually a resigned sigh, going "fine, just tell me your name then"
@maia One of my favourites in NL is the mandatory ID law, which precisely zero cops actually know the contents of, and it's always really funny to watch a cloud come over their face as I recite the contents to them and they realize that shit, I actually know my rights, and they don't know the law well enough to refute it
I've discovered that you can in fact de-acclimatize yourself to advertising, largely from removing exposure fairly consistently over a long period of time.
The problem with that is the intense sense of alienation and distaste you get when exposed (for whatever reason) again.
Curating your own sensory inputs at the cost of being naturalized to the consensus human experience. Yikes.
In the process of moving to @joepie91. This account will stay active for the foreseeable future! But please also follow the other one.

Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
