i feel like there is also not enough intersectionality when it comes to saying, "this should enrage and mobilize you." black queer people have been enraged and mobilizing for years. disabled, nonblack queer, black women, and many other marginalized people have been enraged and mobilizing for years. where is the line where those who have been doing the work are allowed one moment of grief and rest before doing the work again? this is not a one size fits all type demand.

and if this isnt already enough THE FAMILIES ARE HAVING GOFUNDMES TO PUT THEIR CHILDREN TO REST THEY NEED CROWDFUNDING TO PUT THEIR CHILDREN (WHO THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT PROTECT, WHO THE GOVERNMENT REFUSES TO PROTECT, WHO THE GOVERNMENT WILL ALWAYS ALLOW TO DIE BEFORE THEY LOSE MONEY, AND WILL NOT HELP THESE FAMILIES IN ANY CONCRETE WAY FOR THE REST OF THEIR DAYS) TO REST

like it is unconsciousable that after a school shooting. kids have to fucking go back to school. literally not even twenty four hours later. and all the children from the shooting have not even all been found. and i really cannot do this because they were so close to summer, they were so close to where maybe, for two months, these kids and teachers wouldnt have to do school shooter drills. they were so close.

like how are basketball coaches and players speaking better about this. how is the fucking president like oh how sad we should do something about this. how are we supposed to grieve if there is not enough time between traumas to find air much less take it in. i know people want rage, want action, and im trying to get there but i am so scooped out hopeless and sad in this moment and i need to be in this moment, im sorry.

This won't be news to any of the Dutch folks, but a travel tip for everybody else: if you like fantasy and fairy tales (or just generally good vibes really), then you absolutely *have* to visit this place, even if you don't like thrill rides: youtube.com/watch?v=BzESKugOV4

This is legit one of my favourite places in the world, for reasons that are difficult to put into words :boosts_ok_gay:

Really hate this war on scrollbars web devs are doing

people complain about JS dependency trees but wait until you see my mental chores dependency tree

@welshpixie Honestly I've been wanting to start a giveaway shop here for this sort of thing (not just my own stuff), but, pandemic and all..

@welshpixie (I do also have a bunch of clothes that I should give away, but I don't want to throw it into a collection bin because then it'll very likely just get shredded)

@welshpixie Oh for me it's more that I feel like a different fit on different days, and therefore different categories. But I've also just found it really difficult in general to find clothes that are comfy to me. Bizarrely, the only 'universally comfortable' underwear for me is something I got off AliExpress...

@welshpixie I've started mentally categorizing my clothes into 'fit categories' (and ensured I have multiple items in each category) for this reason :/

More seriously, if you're running system graphs, I *strongly* recommend adding an 'excess load average' metric, which shows you not just the load average but how much of it exceeds the available CPU cores. Below 0% = healthy system, above 0% = overloaded system. Much more representative than load averages themselves!

This is the Prometheus query I use:
(avg by(instance)(node_load1)) - (count(node_cpu_seconds_total{mode=\"idle\"}) without (cpu,mode,job))
