there's a skeletal
a DINO skeletal
IN MY WATCH
and it's made of PCB!!!

it's a tiny relief because they're actually traces under the soldermask, so in most light angles it seems pure black, but when the light catches it just right the skeletal appears

I should probably actually rewrite/port my tamafoxi code :thounking:

so I'm going to build a pwnagotchi.ai soon(tm) as it's really cute, but will fork the software as capturing wifi handshakes isn't too interesting (and possibly illegal?).
Any fun ideas for what it should do instead? Perhaps something with

thanks to @a_lizard@snouts.online for making my TL warm, like a good rock

finally getting out of bed without even the faintest idea where im pulling the energy from

thinking about the meaning of "performance", oops its about gender too

This was inspired by another thread but felt like it's own thing

We have noticed that there is sometimes a notion, when the word "performing" or "acting" is used, that something is not genuine. The idea that if something is an act, it isn't *real*.

it's quite the opposite. a good performance comes from somewhere genuine and deep. a good DJ tells their own story to the audience in music. The difference between a singer singing the words, and really _feeling_ them is stark.

a genuine core shines through regardless of skill.

performing takes energy. but it's not inherently fake. and it can be deeply satisfying to do.

this carries to gender as well. "boy" was a character that I hated performing. It was a halfhearted phoned in act necessary for survival. "girl" is only a facet of who i am, but its something I very much enjoy performing. it can be exhausting, and i need breaks, but in the moment it feels right.

I got sent this and relate quite a lot; thinking this might be useful for some others here

borgbase's backup reminder emails are awesome

forgot to unmount my luna backup fuse mount for the second time, which locks it and then new backups will fail; but the 1 day inactive email does wonders :D

migrated two of my irc bridges sucesfully :D
they both use the one-ipv6-address-per-connection thing now, which is neat

I really should've documented the IP_FREEBIND setup for matrix irc bridges......

now im migrating it and it ain't working

caffeine, dissociation

chugged my icecoffe now a cappuccino that should ground me in this dimension

a lot like the generation that brought forth hippie culture, many many people in my generation (I'm a milennial) seem to have this deeply ingrained desire for more communal form of life because we were raised on and exposed to a level of neoliberal ultra-individualism, isolation, and alienation under late capitalism the world hadn't seen until then and despite all promises this ultra-individualism has grown stale for us except for those who can afford to live that way by exploiting others

what I'm saying is, I always wanted to live in a leftist housing project or a squat, but these days I'd be fully content living in any place where I knew my neighbours' first names

I just don't think you've really lived until you've committed arson.
