stuck with the sudoku solver because I made the data structures completely incomprehensible, yay :>

Went out in the cold windy night to take pics. Most weren't great, due to wind+long exposure blurring everything, but I learned a lot more about the camera's settings and how they affect the image

really enjoying REZZ, good sounds and can't go wrong with witch themed stuff :P

so amazed at how crisp it is, and that I managed to align them pretty well; hope they last a while handwashing, otherwise I can always cut new ones

cut and glued some M3 standoffs to fit under the M2 standoffs the runcam (right board) came with. Now they don't push into eachother anymore :D

love to see Matrix threads devolve into "bleh it's not xmpp"

yeah obviously XMPP is the best thing ever that's why everyone uses it /s

IoT has a lot of stigma (for good reason), maybe start calling properly built stuff SoT (secured online thing). You won't lift with the hype, but maybe that's a good thing

so uh earlier today after basically everything worked, I accidentally shorted something and fried the STM32 chip that brains it all...

ordered a replacement for just the STM32 and hope that's all that needs replacing

did get a real nice pic before that tho

lewd ment, why you like vampires alignment chart

@f0x yes yes
put your personal flair all over everything you touch with computer
it's good

poor sudoku solver

(this is also your reminder to imbue programs with personality)

Show thread

so step 1; I can solve simple sudoku's (wow easy!)
now step 2; it utterly fails at harder sudoku's (wow hard)
so will probably need to think up a better algo for those

the basic one is here git.pixie.town/f0x/sudoku/src/

so far i haven't looked at anyone else's implementations/strategies, so curious how far I'll get

Show thread

thought making a sudoku solver would be a nice little programming challenge, let's hope it's not way too complicated

ooo most remaining quadcopter parts arriving tomorrow
