@rune ah i see some of it did get backported to 3.5.4/3.5.5, but we want to run glitch-soc which has no releases/EOL at all, you're just expected to update to main every so ofter
@rune yeah but there will probably continue to be security fixes etc too and actually maintaining a fork like that is a nightmare
@rune yeah... would be the most durable stopgap until GoToSocial is full-featured enough I think. Maintaining an actual fork seems even worse
@rune but it would involve proxying lots of routes and rendering my own representations of profiles/threads
@rune not really, but i'm experimenting with a sort of shell around 4.x that should cover most of the annoying changes (unauthenticated frontend app and the api access that comes with it)
