uh oh we accidentally moved back to normal mastodon, this can't be good

why do these projects always have broken lockfiles.. you had one job

re: new york city "wildlife"

@jj wearing a hat just like that

@reynir everything i post gets one, so yeah

with added benefit that *if* our media was broken people could still read it and be reminded of long cat :)

woo mastodon media all copied over!

we're now on glitch-soc, went pretty smoothly all things considered!

@mia@lgbtqia.space as far as I know, with authorized fetch, a server participating in the relay would still only get references to toots, and have to contact the originating server to get the content (which is then denied if they're suspended)

@joepie91 not sure if there's a way to fix that, especially at this point :\ toots are all still in the database (if you browse someone's profile) but seems timelines got hard reset..

weirdly enough i'm actually getting better at phone calls i think

@joepie91 ah i think this is probably because all timelines were reset (redis related maybe?). Kinda expect it to populate again when people on it post again?

@mia@lgbtqia.space sure, but all their (potentially sensitive) content still ends up there, and tends to accumulate shadow-replies among shitty instances

@mia@lgbtqia.space seems lgbtqia.space does not enable authorized fetch, which makes traffic more efficient, but also makes your instance suspends practically useless, as your content will still federate to them just fine

media still a bit fucked (and also not entirely transferred) but we're kind of back?

taking down social.pixie.town shortly, moving everything over to the other server

estimated downtime is at least 2 hours, because the old media is on a hdd and there's billions of files :<
