@rune pip's just severely lacking, i think poetry is sort of fixing this (by taking inspiration from better systems like npm and cargo). To bump out versions you can just have an upgrade command that checks everything and regenerates the lockfile

re: blocklist shenanigans
@kim @tobi @autumnull yeah, can be used by just nice instances, but very common with the uwu nazi types too...
- did various small things on gotosocial (custom emoji api, more complete language selection, small css tweaks)
- got nerdsniped to try figure out what percentage of Matrix servers use the various server lookup mechanisms (direct, reverse proxy, well-known, srv record), so wrote a scraper that's now querying lots of homeservers
