I can't stop thinking about the statement "I don't dream of owning a house" when it comes to housing justice and housing futures. It's also not fair to assume that everyone's dream is to own a house. A future where everyone owns a house is completely unsustainable. I've been thinking about how to apply this rhetoric to other scenarios and what potential alternatives that center QTBIPOC voices. It has me thinking about other types of futurism where what we're told supposed to want is not what I want at all. Like, "I don't dream of AI servants".

@researchfairy it's kind of interesting that the two approaches to software reproducibility + isolation are ignore all the system settings (snap/flatpak) or control everything with central system settings/config (nixos, guix)
