re: Small instances good

@researchfairy @Cyborgneticz threaten us with a good time

People who claim "browser is slower than native" have probably never compared Fusion 360 to OnShape

terrified that my new team is going to ask me to turn on my camera during the hours where I wear my wizard hat at work

@maloki it's so convenient to be able to mix&match stuff I already wrote for other projects :D

Weird situation to work on 3 separate projects that also all inhibit the same problem space so lots of overlap

(Although FediFox the client and FediFox Shield are not so separate, splitting out a bunch of the components and styling into a shared library package)

Mention of ableist words

I wish I could find the post

But somebody once wrote on here that there are usually lots of non-ableist ways to say things

You could say something is "wild" or "ridiculous," "ill-advised" for example instead of using terms like "crazy," "idiot," etc.

But if you're having a really hard time trying to find a good substitute for an ableist term

Maybe the concept that you're trying to convey is ableist and you need to work on that?

@oakley@eldritch.cafe nope, and due to the way ActivityPub is structured toots are very tied to the instance they were posted on (references/links).

Followers/following etc can be migrated with the 'Move' functionality

now redirecting remote profiles to their own instance, because I don't think I want to serve those

re: meds

@joepie91 for a moment I thought you were getting like, animal meds for yourself from them :P

uh oh, posted a link to my local dev environment (intentional) but forgot that would absolutely flood my console logs with all the url preview attempts

Mastodon skills: guesstimating image preview aspect ratio to take the right screenshots

(i've worked on it more, this is just since I started using wakapi/wakatime in september)
