when your stomach is full, doom *does* feel much less imminent

oh cool, just realized the pixel 5 has one of those good modems too, where you can do a hotspot and wifi at the same time

i genuinely think the daily star lettuce bit did more to remove truss from power than any other piece of journalism. if somebody made a lettuce version of me and put a wig on it and started betting on whether it would live longer than me i think i would probably die from that quite quickly

this kind of funny, readable, mixed-use timeline is illegal to post in most american cities

i have too many follow requests and i'm not even cool or interesting, how do the cool/interesting people deal with this

@easrng thanks for the illustrative drawing :D
What I'm currently considering will have the "view thread" on the right hand side, so right to the timeline you clicked it from, social.pixie.town/@f0x/1092009
But I don't think I'll implement going arbitrarily deep like that, for now at least

seems the fediverse is definitely excited for a new client, we'll see if i can deliver anything though oof

@easrng isn't that pretty much what the mastodon advanced layout does? with posts opening in the rightmost sidebar

the empty right column would be used to display a focused toot/thread, or possibly a second timeline (local/federated). Notifications view will definitely be hideable/filterable too

@devinprater @antijingoist right, that's unfortunate. I'd like to improve on that (low bar perhaps), but can't promise much as that's an area I have rather limited experience in so far

@antijingoist @devinprater themability/customizability is definitely on the list, do you have any insight on what Mastodon (and others) do well or poorly for screenreaders?

This 👉 👈 is an example of 👄 Speex, an audio compression :ablobmelt: codec specifically tuned for the reproduction 😳 of human 🙎 speech 🔊
