re: deep rock galactic

@jaycie ooh, perhaps o: my fiancée kind of fell out of the game so my partners and I have been running in a team of three, though we haven't yet gone on any deep dives or anything

@Nine I think (don't quote me on that because I'm still in bed and can't check) Vivaldi has that as an option

Domain Block, slurs mention

Looks like a new chud instance spun up: comfyboy.club. Of course it's Pleroma, too. Came across a user from there on federated and first thing I see on their profile is the r-word and something called "groperarmy." Their profile seems to sympathize with Rogan and his chud crew too. So yeah, no great loss to mute these fuckers. #fediblock

gaming media salt, MAJOR Chrono Cross spoilers

@trysdyn my main beef was that the game went out of its way to kill the old cast, even poor Robo onscreen ;_;

@ShiningWing ...was Cruel King and the Great Hero shown at all? Since it's coming out in March...

@ShiningWing I had considered tuning in for news on Cruel King and the Great Hero, but I didn't, and missed the news about Klonoa and the Square properties coming back. Wonder if that means there's hope for a Threads of Fate 2 o3o

@lyncia Yee, if the existing USB connection is a frontend for the serial link you wanted, setting up getty on the serial device should allow for the palm PDA to see a console on the other side... granted, at the expense of anything else transmitting during that time .w.

@lyncia But yeah, if it already shows up as a serial device, it might be even easier to set something up, so I hope that goes well!

@lyncia Oh, that's interesting! I wish I had my old handspring visor to try alongside but I lost that over a decade ago orz

@lyncia I'm guessing it's Linux anyway, if this is Windows I have no idea :'D

@lyncia Hmm... A USB-serial adapter on the host end makes the most sense, and it should be fairly straightforward on Linux, as the adapter should show up as something like /dev/ttyUSB0, which means it's mostly a matter of running getty on it, typically through systemd (# systemctl start getty@ttyUSB0.service) or another init backend

@lyncia You mean with, like, a DE9 serial to USB adapter? Which side's using which?

@Runner Holding out hope for a Threads of Fate 2 then

@Runner Games I did not ever expect to see visited again
