Whoops @neauoire my partner and I accidentally acquired an 18th century style upright harpsichord with robotic electromagnetic hammers and unleashed Orca on it

Trans awareness week, gender liberation stuff
Trans people exist and are fucking rad! They're just normal people! Who often do stuff with gender!
If you're a normal person who might want a little extra (or less or different) gender, you can be trans, too!
You're allowed to do as much or as little as you want, and to choose how and where you express yourself according to your safety! You don't need to present one way all the time if you don't want to! Your gender is yours, not everyone else's.
Let's claim this week for celebrating gender discovery instead of just 'trans awareness'. Maybe do a little something to express your gender today, or experiment with one you're curious about. Happy gender discovery week! 💙

rambling about art,
@montagsoup that's fair. You can mark them up and use clay to build out a body type, too, but you're right, they can be kinda uniform.
rambling about art,
@montagsoup in case you didn't know, you can also buy wooden artist figure models that are posable and whatnot.
not sure if this helps to clarify what I meant? long
@thufie yeah, that helps. I agree that it'd be good if the language committees themselves were more proactive about adding things and the like.
Apologies if I'm interrupting, but it seems a bit like the solution you want to see is "use a different tool", even though you might not know why they're using the one they have in the first place.
When you start from a place of "this code does something meaningful for the user and needs to exist somewhere, somehow", does your take change? Or am I misunderstanding?
@aurynn good morning, Aurynn!
I donated a large stash of computers+gadgets to Free Geek Twin Cities last week and the experience was delightful. A+, would recommend cleaning out your tech closet and handing it over to these folks: https://www.freegeektwincities.org/
Product/ad, warm jeans
There's a local designer that put together an insulated pant design.
I put off ordering a pair for a while because they're a little expensive and I wasn't sure if they'd fit. I ordered a pair about a week ago and they arrived yesterday!
I ordered a pair of women's high rise classic pants in 'midnight'.
First impressions: the black isn't a true black, and the fabric has a sort of a 'tech wear' feel to it. I was expecting something a little thicker, like a flannel lined jean, but these are substantially thinner than that. The fit is perfect and they're pretty comfy.
It doesn't seem like they're selling that much, which makes me kinda sad because the designer was super nice when I had some questions about my order, and they're pretty warm and comfy.
If you've got a little dosh to spare and someone in your life with cold legs, maybe consider picking up a pair. They're made by a local woman of color and she ships.
Hair colouring question
@zoec there's a 'midnight' series from splat that works alright, but it depends some on how dark your hair already is. Most rainbow colors are deposit only dyes and need a lighter, porous hair strand to show up.
Additionally, some dyes can work with a developer. You may want to look up 'high lift' dyes and similar, but their action will be like bleaching, though it's technically not bleach.
Lastly, you could use colored extensions or a weave, though they can introduce their own complications.
Join us tonight for #CircusInPlace, where I throw one friend in the air while talking with others.
Acrobatics and shenanigans start at 8pm UTC-6, and run through most of the night.

These are audio games. When playing these records on a turntable, the stylus enters one of several grooves, with each groove producing a different series of recordings of events in a baseball or football game. The record is played several times for both players to score points.
