Today I learned https://www.startrekdesignproject.com has high-rez versions of most of the logos to appear on Star Trek. Including some great ones from Lower Decks.
(These are printed in crappy PLA, to be clear, so I'm testing pretty much the worst case in terms of mechanical strength, relying entirely on the design)

So far I have 5 bins stacked on top of each other on my desk, with the topmost bin containing a few heavy boxes of screwdriver and drill bits. The tower still seems perfectly stable! And I'm not seeing any kind of wear or fatigue marks on any of the stacking nets.

Okay, I've seen online shops before that give you free extra products if you go over a certain order total... but I have to say that it's a first to see one that automatically adds them to your cart and *you cannot remove them*

Forget all that passing in special arguments on the command line or config files or any of that. I just want a big knob that controls debug level. If I want more debugging output I turn the knob. Too much, I turn it down.

(I understand the security tradeoffs introduced by having deduplication, I am only asking about whether specifically a deterministic *nonce* introduces any additional issues beyond that)

Hey kids, if you're removing fash stickers or other propaganda, good on you for cleaning up your neighborhood.
Just remember to always use a tool, and wear sturdy work gloves if necessary, because the tools putting that shit up sometimes hide dangerous surprises like razorblades or needles as a way to hurt anyone removing their shit by hand.

Perhaps the clearest indicator that the #NixOS governance issues are not going to be resolved through discussions on the forum: the fact that for the past several years, you can reliably sort nearly every post into one of two 'camps' by looking at who hit the like button, and the exact lists for each camp have barely changed.
Likes aren't a reliable indicator for much, but it sure shows that minds are not being changed, and that it's a much more fundamental conflict that probably isn't going to be resolved until one camp just *leaves* the project.

so, the fatigue limit for a material is the highest amount of stress that can be applied to that material for an infinite number of cycles without breaking.
aluminium has no such limit. every time you apply even a TINY bit of stress to it, you are contributing towards it eventually completely failing.
