For new folks who may see this: You might start keeping your eyes open regarding the servers your new friends are interacting from. It's nothing ominous. Sometimes the first server you join is not the best fit for you, and a good way to find a better fit is to see which servers the people you enjoy are members of.

Maybe they have a longer character allowance, maybe they have a theme you are drawn to, or maybe it's the way their moderators keep icky stuff out of their time-line.

It's pretty easy to migrate from one server to another. I've done it and it was pretty smooth.

Edit: also for new people, you can edit stuff after you post it. For instance, if you type "theur" when you meant "their." (I did that and fixed this post after)

Serious question: Is there an open-source 2D printer (the type with paper and ink)?

If not, why not? Is there some serious production bottleneck that only HP&co can meet?

For people who are newer here, if you have too much US politics in your feed for your taste, you can do a few things to help yourself:

use keyword filtering tools available on your service. Use words commonly found in posts you don’t want to see, especially if the poster is thoughtful and uses hashtags consistently.
you can mute people temporarily (e.g. for a week or a month)
you can always unfollow people or mute people who post non-CW’d politics. It’s not rude, it’s self-care.

we all know meetings that should have been an email, but still make react websites that should have been static html.
