Tipping makes wages precarious and uncertain. It integrates begging into a job,. It creates hidden fees for consumers. It is shit for everyone.

You all know there are lots of scammers trying to sell you fake #38C3 tickets this year, right?

Don't fall for accounts that are newly created, have no followers, boosted some other #38C3 posts and suddenly have tickets to sell.

In general, please don't buy tickets from people you don't know or trust!

but now that a CEO got killed and everybody rejoiced, they're all "we must prevent this from happening again by any means necessary!"

that's because they know that our cat can convince their cats to get back in their bags.

they don't actually care about their safety as much as maintaining their money/power. if they cared that much about their safety they wouldn't be doing stuff like getting into busted submarines, making the planet uninhabitable, and making us suffer so much that everybody wants them dead.

I’m reminded of how the dorm building I lived in didn’t have like a centralized fire alarm and the instructions we got were rather than yell fire to wake up our hallmates we should play music really loudly. Cause people would ignore yelling as just drunk people being annoying and they would get out of bed to complain about really loud music and could then be told there’s fire. Different times, but I think the logic was sound.

Real customer service calls, the person sounds tired and like they just want to get this over with. 🥴 They don't sound perky and awake this time of year.

Do a search to see if the email address is legit. (US) Government websites almost always have .gov in email/websites. Businesses will have [something]@kohls.com, [something]@target.com etc.

Ik zou graag van mijn bank, of van de NVB, een lijst met nep-bankgegevens krijgen. Met nep-namen, nep-adressen, nep-geboortedata, nep-creditcardnummers, nep-telefoonnummers en voor mijn part een nep-app die nep-gezichtsscans kan doorgeven.

Dan zou ik werkelijk naar aanleiding van ELKE phishing-mail, elke nep-SMS en elk telefoontje gegevens uit die lijst halen en invullen.

Waarom bestaat dat niet? 1/2 please retoot #kentiemandeenbankveiligheidsmedewerker
