twitter, fascist commentary, cops
A selection of comments to a video showing a cop being grossly negligent and almost pushing an activist under a train:
"It's the climate terrorist's own fault"
"We should invert the right to protest; forbidden unless you have permission"
"Shame they didn't get hit"
"Actually, the cop saved the protester"

If anything, I'd say queer context is more aligned with what humans actually are rather than a reductive binary because that context acknowledges how complex human sexuality is and tries to create space for people to find what fits them from the standpoint of nuance.
It's silly to reduce ourselves to a handful of labels that are only descriptors of social markers anyway.
Oof, I recently found out that there's a video game UI database (https://www.gameuidatabase.com/) made and maintained by Edd Coates, a designer who specializes in video game UI and UX, but it's unfortunately both closed-source *and* the only way to contribute to it is by tweeting stuff at him. As in, exclusively through Twitter :<
I wonder if I should email him about accepting alternative ways of contributing cause the idea is super cool and I have a whole bunch of stuff I could submit, but I'm not sure he'd agree or even, like, acknowledge that I exist 🥲
this toot brought to you by people who have no interest in the development of early modern science and are pretty confident they can wall off "chemistry" as completely discontinuous with "alchemy"
i've always had
and will always continue to have
a burning hatred for the concept of "homework"
it's bullshit
they already take so much from you expecting you to show up every day
then have the gall to demand you sacrifice your potentially very limited free time too?
jackasses
i was normally able to get by just only answering questions based on the info teachers gave in class
like i'd half-listen during those talks
then just not do any of the outside reading
because fuck homework
fuck all the asshole teachers who think they're entitled to your time outside of school
in addition to the bullshit drudgery you already have to put up with when you're there during the day
it's fucking nonsense
fuck homework
Remember kids, if your urbanism leaves disabled people as a second though it's not urbanism, it's sparkly gentrification
Deer deliver in the strangest of places! If you find a fawn in your yard, leave it alone, do not touch, move or feed it. They have no scent and predators cannot find them unless humans interfere. Mom leaves during the day for 2 primary reasons: to feed, and to keep her scent away. Mom will return, but not until dusk and not if humans are around. If you discover the gift of a fawn enjoy the experience, and let the Mom do what comes naturally. Please share, thank you. #wildlife
mentions food but it's about gender
When the waiter brought our meals (we ate outside a restaurant! first time in 15 months!), he put a plate down in front of one person and said "madam", "sir" as he handed the next plate to the next person, so I was really interested to see what he'd say about the third plate which was mine. There was maybe a little pause and then he said "asparagus pizza!"
Yes, the three genders.
In the process of moving to @joepie91. This account will stay active for the foreseeable future! But please also follow the other one.
Technical debt collector and general hype-hater. Early 30s, non-binary, ND, poly, relationship anarchist, generally queer.

Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
