There's so many cautionary stories about evil genies twisting your wishes, but if I ever met one it would be a struggle to not wish for "flat design" to go away forever. It is hard for me to imagine what could be a worse UI trend than a design language that draws all of its aesthetic richness from poorly xeroxed tax paperwork.

So the tech CEO who got murdered in SF was killed by someone he knew and the ex-fire SF chief turned cannabis entrepreneur who was savagely beaten turns out to have been going around spraying homeless people with bear spray. With ActivityPub, your safety is only as strong as your weakest link. If you have followers on an instance that has followers on an instance of harassers, and the first instance faves/replies to/boosts your post, your post gets hand delivered to the harassers' timelines.
