Once more for the people at the back.

There is no ethical use of LLMs.

@theresnotime@fox.nexus There are options like tmux like already mentioned by others, but if you need something simpler or are working on a restricted system, I think you can achieve a similar thing with `script` (which records terminal sessions into a log file that I believe you can tail).

@smveerman Oh oh oh, the puzzle cards! I remember those! Had great fun with them as a child.

The under 12 ticket at :ns_nl_b: is called Railrunner. It was named after Rappy Railrunner, who used to be on gifts one would get when buying a Railrunner at the ticket office.

LIVELEAK EXCLUSIVE: Luigi Mangione leads police on a cross-town chase, takes out a cruiser before being stopped

every now and then i come back to this idea for a minecraft server where, rather than new players spawning at global world spawn, each player would be given a random, unique spawn point, suitably far away from every other spawn. to make it harder for players to meet up, the server would lie about the world coordinates (telling each player that their own spawn is close to (0,0)) and prevent chat messages appearing to players who are too far from the sender. but then, modded items would allow these restrictions to be overcome; say, a radio that can communicate with other radios over long distances, or a compass that points to the true (0,0).

the experience then would be a multiplayer server that starts singleplayer, with finding and meeting others - likely over very long distances - a major part of the arc of the game. i think it'd be interesting to see what people do with that.

now the sneaky thing is that you could hide this in some unrelated modpack or something: you think you're creating a singleplayer world, you're actually joining this secretly multiplayer one. i think that'd be a fun reveal (imagine exploring and coming across structures that look suspiciously like a player-built base!), but it would probably be against every terms of service so. maybe not worth it.

@two I think a real problem with the last part could be that people try to loot and take apart other players' structures for resources without realizing that they are player structures!

The blood has been taken out, the epo has been put in, the oil change is complete

We need to blast the greater NY area with posters and flyers on jury nullification

@silvermoon82 Yes it does, and the NODE_EXTRA_CA_CERTS env var (or alternatively, the `ca` property in the request call). You can also compile it with system OpenSSL but that can cause some weird results if it doesn't have the same cipher support.

re: that assassin

@Dee Hm. AFAIK they usually quite like to record high-profile arrests, for copaganda purposes. Thanks.

uhc ceo

@diedofheartbreak@plush.city @mynameistillian That doesn't feel consistent with the degree of planning so far, IMO.

Cops (mostly in the US), animal cruelty

I find it "funny" that K9s are considered equal to human cops when it comes to what you do, but they suddenly become downgraded to merely a punching bag tool when it comes to how their handler treats them

that assassin

It occurs to me that there have been no published videos or pictures of the arrest of the supposed assassin. Isn't that a bit weird, given the US' proclivity for perp walks?

when coding in the united kingdom, you need to use the give way keyword instead of yield for python generator functions.

abuse in family against little kids

but even if you don't do those things, what matters more is your ability to be honest and admit your own mistakes and learn from them and not be a damn asshole. even the most unprepared parent who has these things is better than the most educated self-absorbed motherfucker who can't be bothered to care about anybody but themselves.

abuse in family against little kids

better yet — don't have fucking kids if you cannot 100% be sure you won't hurt them or abuse them. yes, even if you mean it well. think long, and think hard. educate yourself on child psychology, pedagogics and raising children. read on trauma. read on social issues — your kid might be trans or gay or neurodivergent or disabled or whatnot.

oh, difficult? yeah no fucking shit sherlock you have a life in your hands of course it's gonna be difficult.
