@srol Oh yeah, and because accuracy (especially in gaming) is frequently a concern that people have: I now have an MX Ergo, and it allows me to be *much* more accurate (including in FPS games) than any other mouse I've used. Motor control issues probably do play a role there, but I'd say that it's entirely suitable for games that require fast response and accuracy. Not sure about other trackballs though.
@srol I'd say that my main advice would be that different trackballs can feel and function *significantly* differently, much more difference than with typical 'regular' mice, and so if you have trouble with this one, it's worth trying a different one to see if it works better
@evelyn@misskey.bubbletea.dev @tthbaltazar@chaos.social In NL this is a complete non-issue, though. I can't even really think of a single case where overloaded wiring caused a fire or damage, in any house with an electrical setup from the past 50 years.

they are obviously wrong (sunk cost fallacy aka "I already started so I might as well continue even though this is harmful to me and others)

@julialuna@chaos.social I have this with anxiety episodes. Once the anxiety *resolves*, my body goes completely haywire for the next 24 hours - digestive issues, headaches, everything, as if it's trying to purge something.
I almost can't believe that this needs to be said, but "well that's capitalism for you, not an individual problem" is *not* an excuse to defend someone who goes above and beyond in playing the game of capitalism, and harms people in the process.
