They want us to believe that the internet wouldn't work without being bombarded by ads for apps that are just a screenshot of Age of Empires with a different name tagged on

I wanna see a show where one of the background characters slowly transitions over the course of the series. And not even make it a thing.

@savanni It will never stop frustrating me how Webpack displaced Browserify entirely on the basis of misleading claims, despite actually being *worse* on every single point at the time

The problem is not with Electron.

It's entirely with how Electron is used.

Well, and webpack. Webpack sucks.

Someone on here was saying that his late dad had had a load of stuff on punched cards, but he didn't know what they said.

I said it wouldn't be difficult to write an image processing routine that would read them if you scanned them.

I can't now find the email. If you're out there, did you? I can help if you like.

@thufie Oh, I didn't even read the article - it's Bloomberg, so I assume that it's the usual faux-neutral "rich white guy" bullshit. Just thought the photo was interestingly, uh, informative.

@mu @polymerwitch The "free software" movement is not actually any less affected by this problem, and the real-world ideological differences between "open-source" and "free software" round down to zero.

The shithead who hosts nearly all of the nazi shit nowadays has helpfully posed for a news article in his backyard near Portland, in front of his cryptocurrency mining (and possibly server) shed - or at least, that's the claim.

I can't help but notice that something seems... off about it, though. The lighting doesn't seem right, the lines on the guy are too sharp, and there are unexplained white edges in some places that suggest a poor photo editing job.

Nevertheless, it *does* seem to really be his shed. Y'know.
