health, negative-ish (2)
That I tested positive for COVID really wasn't a surprise at all, to be honest; housemate tested positive on a self-test earlier, everyone else had also gotten sick shortly after (though to varying degrees), and there were no other credible sources of infection, so we pretty much already knew.
health, immune system
If the progress so far is any indication, I'm going to conclude that my immune system is definitely weakened, but it was aggressive enough to begin with that I'm still left with a serviceable amount of disease resistance.
It's taking longer than it usually would to recover from this, but it seems about similar to the more insistent flus and how other people experience them. Though I don't yet know what the long-term consequences will be.
(This is all pretty much as expected; that I have an aggressive immune system was something I already knew, given my history of "being sick for a few hours and that's it" whenever I caught a flu or whatever)

@joepie91 ugh, I really should get my update. I just keep putting it off because I know I'll be unable to work / do much the next day so it kinda has to be on a Friday
health
@rune Weirdly I didn't get any side-effects from the latest update (which would've been my third), whereas I did get some from the first two. I guess the body eventually stops responding so strongly because it's seen something similar before?
health
@joepie91 @rune I didn't have any side effects either, not even a stiff arm which I normally always get after a vaccination, no matter what's it for. Although that might have something to do with my body changing due to being pregnant at the time, because I didn't have any side effects for the whooping cough and flu jab either 😁

@joepie91 it probably varies a lot from person to person. I've had the same "severe" reaction every time. While covid infection itself makes me actually sick and lasts for longer the vaccine is honestly worse for me for that one day. Still, not really holding back because it's that bad, it's just extremely inconvenient I'll have to take a sick day if I get it before a work day.

It's probably a good thing that I updated my COVID vaccination to the latest patch level right before my transplantation...
