@thufie @f0x There's prior art for that, though; eg. dishwashers all look different on the outside with many different brands, but all of them are made by just a handful of manufacturers, and most of them have identical internals and just have a different faceplate bolted and wired to it.
@thufie @f0x Also yes, this means that dishwashers are modular and their appearance could totally be changed years down the line, we just aren't allowed to replace the faceplates ourselves without manufacturer intervention
