Kinda nice to click to a remote post link and see they're running Mastodon 4.x but disabled the unauthenticated API
The UX is abysmal of course, with Mastodon just spamming a list of 401 errors, but good that they prioritize user safety.

LB - the expectation and blaming I've seen from techbros on here about how if people don''t want X, then they should do "niche settings thing / cultural thing" (e.g. turn on no index, add nobot or whatever the noresearch tag is to your bio)
Most of the world does not live in your little space and has completely different specialist and niche knowledge than you do.

What would be the most important things/qualities for you in a website/page builder? Specifically, in the kind of builder that lets you build in some limited amount of interactivity (like forum functionality).

@rbairwell @aendra @doot As someone with ADHD, I have no right to feed data of others to some third party service, so I can make things convenient for myself.
I don't think anyone argues against having a private, self-hosted search or search on your own instance :) It would even be quite possible to buid it into a web client.
