holy fuck

heavily considering turning this into a bootleg 4 layer board (can't do real 4 layer cause JLC doesn't support that with SMT), because I really can't wire the ESP32 like I first imagined, and I love the board size like this

it seems the trick to comedy on Mastodon... is repetition

anyways im bored so im trying a different matrix chip, and streaming on my new peertube: stream.cthu.lu/videos/watch/7f (no sound cause im in a voicecall)

Show thread

my main grip is the countless led matrices like this that already exist, for scrolling text etc, and it makes them quite boring

Show thread

i take that as a 'no' then.

it's weird how i simultaneously quite like this design but also not at all

Thunderbird asking if i'm ready to send my email like... i am Never ready to send an email

could probably fly like this but i'd be way too scared of loosing the precious beadfox, so I won't

also had a great quad flight today but again no recording cause that part of the setup sucks..
connected my 5.8ghz-as-webcam receiver to laptop saving it to disk but it lost connection as soon as i put it back in my backpack, stopping the recording before the quad even powered on..

occured to me that my pcb design is more of a puzzle video game than a tool to make functional things

not sure how i feel about that

if anyone *would* like an led matrix like this though, please let me know lol, so it can be more tuned to a use-case
