damn im really doing a textbook example of progressive enhancement for my new site 
- using ::before and ::after so screenreaders and stuff like lynx will just display the text normally
- default values so it looks good without animation support
- css animation
- js to randomize the css animation timings

ok, tried the olive video editor, it sucks
spent more than an hour doing two super easy renders (literally just adding a 5 second overlay at the start, and a music track), first time the default CRF resulted in utter garabage, second time just gave a corrupt file, with vlc and mpv throwing errors....
back to kdenlive I guess
